He graduated from the Architecture Department of İstanbul Fine Arts Academy in 1972. He went to Edinburgh, Heriot-Watt University for his urban design master’s degree. During his studies he also worked part-time at the Law-Dunbar Nasmith Architect. After returning to Turkey he started working as an assistant first at the Planning Section of the İstanbul Fine Arts Academy, then at City Planning Department of Architecture Faculty. In 1982 he worked at Edinburgh University for a year with the director of city planning department, Prof. Percy Johnson-Marshall. He left his mission from the faculty in 1983 to return to his country. He worked in Scotland until 1989. Once back in his home country, he founded his own office. He attended to competitions with conceptual projects of architecture and urban design, design, environmental design and projects and studies on tourism.
 
In 2005, he was nominated for Urban Design Competitions Group by IMP executives. He continues his mission at Urban Design Competitions Group Executive at IMP.
