Born in Zonguldak in 1966. Following his education at Istanbul Saint Joseph Hign School, he graduated from the Mimar Sinan University Faculty of Architecture in 1990. Erginoğlu conducted his postgraduate studies on ‘New Building Design in Historical Textures’ in Mimar Sinan University.  In 1991, he went to United States to do professional research.  He founded ‘Erginoğlu&Çalışlar Architects’ in 1993, together with Hasan Çalışlar. 

He was awarded the prize of ‘Building Information Center Achievement Award’ in 1990, The ‘Graphical Presentation Achievement Award’ in the National Architecture Exhibiton in 1992, the ‘Art of Building Conservation Award’ for the “Tuncel House”  in the National Architecture Awards of 1996, the ‘Building Award’ for the “Swimming Pool Complex of Military School” in the National Architecture Awards of 2000,  AMV Young Architects Award in 2004, 4th prize in the international competition for the Turkish Embassy in Berlin in 2007, 1st prize in the invited competition of Tarsus Sev Elementary School Campus in 2009 and the ‘Design Award’ for “Tarsus Sev Elementary School Campus Project” in the National Architecture Awards of 2010, the ‘Preservation-Revitalisation Award’ for “Salt Repository-Medina Turgul DDB Head Quarters” in the National Architecture Awards of 2010, the ‘Building Award’ for the “Turkcell Teknoloji Research and Development Building” in the National Architecture Awards of 2010, the “New&Old Award” for the “Salt Repository-Medina Turgul DDB Head Quarters” in the World Architecture Festival 2010.

He has been a jury member in Uludağ University, Istanbul Technical University and Yıldız Technical University and has also been a guest lecturer at Mimar Sinan University, Istanbul Technical University and Yıldız Technical University. He is a member of the Chamber of Architects and Istanbul Architects Association. His projects and articles have been published in various architectural magazines.

Erginoğlu & Çalışlar Architects is an Istanbul based, independent firm of architects founded in 1993 by Hasan Çalışlar and Kerem Erginoğlu. The firm specialises in architectural projects, corporate identity design and urban planning together with providing assistance for planning applications. 

The ethos of the company is to view each project within its individual context and contribute to it through innovative architectural solutions. The firm has vast experience gained through successful completion of a wide variety of both national and international projects on a range of scales. 

Erginoğlu & Çalışlar Architects have won many prizes and awards for their innovative projects. These include; “The Building Award” for the Turkcell Research, Development and Technology Building in the National Architecture Awards of 2010, “The Preservation-Revitalisation Award” for DDB Salt Repository in the National Architecture Awards of 2010, “The Design Award” for Tarsus Sev Elementary School Campus Project in the National Architecture Awards of 2010 and 1st prize in the invited competition for Tarsus Sev Elementary School Campus in 2009, 4th prize in the international competition for the Turkish Embassy in Berlin in 2007, AMV Young Architects Award in 2004, “The Building Award” for the Military School Swimming Pool Complex in the National Architecture Awards of 2000 and the Art of Building Conservation.
