Born in 1964 in Bursa, Gökşin Ilıcalı is graduated from Istanbul Faculty of Medicine after Bursa Anatolian High School.
He founded Argos Communication Group in 1992, Argos Tourism-Investment in 1997, Argos Viticulture and Argos Construction in 2003 and Argos Art and Culture in 2008. Ilıcalı, who is a founding member of “Urban and Rural Development Foundation”, still works as the Director and he recently focuses on urban transformation, restoration, relation between preservation and socio-cultural structure, preserving and improving environment in Cappadocian Region.
"Argos in Cappadocia" hotel and cultural centre project, realized in 2009 by Argos Construction in Uçhisar after a 13 year of restoration process, and it is chosen one of the four most environmentalist hotels of the world in 2010 by Conde Nast Johansens.
